Editorial policy

Purpose of our content

Our guides and tool explanations exist to help you use a tool correctly and understand the underlying format or technique. We write about what the tools do, their limits, and when another approach would be better.

How content is produced

Content may be drafted with the help of AI writing tools. No draft is published automatically: every article is read, checked against primary sources such as specifications and official documentation, edited and approved by a person before it goes live. Statements that cannot be verified are removed.

Translations

Translated versions go through the same workflow: draft, review, ready to publish, published. A translation is only published and linked to the other language versions after review. Interface text is translated by machine and published per language once it is complete.

Accuracy and updates

Each guide shows when it was published and last updated. When a standard, browser behaviour or tool changes, we update the affected content. Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed.

Advertising and independence

Advertisers have no influence on what we write. We do not accept paid articles presented as editorial content. Affiliate links, if we ever use them, will be clearly marked.
