How to use it
- Type one or more keywords that describe your posts, separated by commas or new lines. Any language works.
- Optionally choose a niche, add a location or brand tag, and set how many hashtags you want. Click a suggestion to leave it out.
- Copy the hashtags separated by spaces, or copy a caption block with your caption and the hashtags together.
How it works
Instagram's guidance and limits change; check the current Help Center. This tool defaults to a maximum of 5 hashtags, which you can change.
Pick hashtags that describe the post precisely, such as the subject, place or style, rather than generic ones. Hashtags on a public account can make a post findable under that tag; they do not replace a clear caption.
How the suggestions are made: your keywords are cleaned (letters of any alphabet, digits and underscores are kept; spaces, punctuation and emoji are removed) and expanded into variants such as English singular and plural forms and combinations with your niche, location and format. Hand-picked English tags for the chosen niche are added, duplicates are merged regardless of case, and the list is ordered from your exact keywords to broad tags. Nothing is looked up online, so no popularity figures are shown: check how a tag is actually used on Instagram before relying on it.
Examples
Instagram posts: “golden retriever”
Keywords “golden retriever” with the Pets niche and the default settings give:
#GoldenRetriever #GoldenRetrievers #GoldenRetrieverLife #DogLover #CatLover
Instagram posts: “wedding photographer”
Keywords “wedding photographer”, the Wedding niche and the location “Tuscany” give:
#WeddingPhotographer #WeddingPhotographers #WeddingPhotographerTuscany #WeddingPhotographerIdeas #Tuscany
Frequently asked questions
How many hashtags should I use on Instagram posts?
This generator selects 5 by default for Instagram posts and suggests at most 5; you can raise the maximum to 30 if you need to. More hashtags rarely help: keep the ones that describe the content precisely. Platform guidance changes, so check Instagram's current help pages.
Where do I put the hashtags on Instagram?
Add hashtags at the end of the caption, after a line break, or post them as the first comment. Choose “First comment” to copy the caption and the hashtags separately.
Does the generator use AI, trends or real post counts?
No. The suggestions come only from the words you type, simple spelling rules and a hand-written list of tags for each niche. The tool does not contact Instagram or any other service, so it cannot know how popular a tag is, and it never shows invented numbers.
