How to use it

  1. Enter paid subs, gifted subs and the number of Kicks you receive per month.
  2. Compare the Kick and Twitch totals per month and per year.
  3. Check the Kick and Twitch settings and edit any price, share or tip value that differs from what you see.

How it works

For each platform the calculator multiplies (paid subs + gifted subs) by the sub price and applies the creator share, then adds tips: tips × value per tip. On Kick tips are Kicks; on Twitch the same number is counted as Bits. The yearly total is the monthly total × 12.

The defaults are editable examples. Kick advertises a 95/5 subscription split in favour of creators, and $4.99 is used as the sub price on both platforms. Twitch's standard split is 50/50, with 70/30 available to some creators. The value of one Kick to a creator was not confirmed for this tool, so it defaults to $0.01 as a placeholder: look up Kick's current terms and enter the real figure.

The comparison only covers subs and tips. It does not include ads, sponsorships, contracts, payout fees, taxes or regional prices, and it assumes your audience would subscribe in the same numbers on both platforms, which is rarely exactly true.

Examples

Default example

100 paid + 20 gifted subs and 5,000 Kicks: Kick $568.86 from subs + $50.00 tips = $618.86 per month. Twitch at 50/50: $299.40 + $50.00 = $349.40.

Matching Kick income on Twitch

With the same tips, matching $618.86 per month on Twitch at 50/50 and $4.99 takes about 228 subs instead of 120.

Twitch creator on 70/30

Set the Twitch share to 70 to compare a Plus Program creator: 120 subs give $419.16 from subs instead of $299.40.

Frequently asked questions

Is Kick's split really 95/5?

Kick advertises a 95% creator share on subscriptions, and that is the default here. Terms can change, so check Kick's current creator terms; the share is editable.

How much is one Kick worth?

This tool does not assume an official value. It uses $0.01 per Kick as an editable placeholder; enter the value Kick currently states.

Why does the comparison use the same number of subs?

It shows how the split alone changes your income. In practice audiences differ between platforms, so enter your own expected numbers for each case if you want a closer estimate.

Are fees and taxes included?

No. Results are before payout fees, currency conversion and tax withholding, which depend on your payout method and country.
