How to use it
- Choose or drop one or more SVG files.
- Adjust the options, such as quality or background colour, if shown.
- Convert, then download each JPG file or all of them as a ZIP.
How it works
SVG is a vector format described in XML. It scales to any size without losing sharpness, but many apps and websites only accept raster images.
JPG (JPEG) is the most widely used format for photos. Its lossy compression keeps files small, but it has no transparency and every re-save loses a little detail.
SVG is a vector format, so it is rendered to pixels at the width you choose. Scripts inside the SVG never run. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). JPG uses lossy compression: the quality setting trades file size against fine detail. 80–90% is a good default for photos. Converting re-encodes the image, which removes EXIF metadata such as camera details and GPS location.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The browser decodes and re-encodes every image on your device, so the files never leave your computer or phone.
Will converting SVG to JPG reduce quality?
JPG uses lossy compression: the quality setting trades file size against fine detail. 80–90% is a good default for photos.
How many files can I convert at once?
It depends on your plan's image limits, shown on the Pricing page. A free account allows more files per batch than visiting without an account.
Privacy
Images are converted in your browser and never uploaded. Only anonymous usage events (no file data) are recorded if you allowed statistics.
