How to use it
- Choose or drop one or more SVG files.
- Adjust the options, such as quality or background colour, if shown.
- Convert, then download each WebP file or all of them as a ZIP.
How it works
SVG is a vector format described in XML. It scales to any size without losing sharpness, but many apps and websites only accept raster images.
WebP is a modern web format from Google that supports both lossy and lossless compression and transparency. It is usually smaller than JPG or PNG at similar quality.
SVG is a vector format, so it is rendered to pixels at the width you choose. Scripts inside the SVG never run. WebP uses lossy compression: the quality setting trades file size against fine detail. 80–90% is a good default for photos. Converting re-encodes the image, which removes EXIF metadata such as camera details and GPS location.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The browser decodes and re-encodes every image on your device, so the files never leave your computer or phone.
Will converting SVG to WebP reduce quality?
WebP uses lossy compression: the quality setting trades file size against fine detail. 80–90% is a good default for photos.
How many files can I convert at once?
It depends on your plan's image limits, shown on the Pricing page. A free account allows more files per batch than visiting without an account.
Privacy
Images are converted in your browser and never uploaded. Only anonymous usage events (no file data) are recorded if you allowed statistics.
