Watermark Image

Choose your images, type a copyright text or pick a logo, place it with a live preview and download the watermarked images. Everything is processed in your browser.

Choose JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF images. Each image keeps its size and, where possible, its format.

How to use it

  1. Choose one or more images. How many you can process at once depends on your plan.
  2. Type a watermark text (for example © Your Name) or choose a logo image.
  3. Pick one of nine positions or a tiled pattern, then adjust size, opacity, rotation and margin while watching the preview.
  4. Select Watermark and download the image, or a ZIP with all images.

How it works

Each image is drawn on a canvas at its full original resolution and the watermark is painted on top. Size and margin are relative to the image, so the watermark looks the same on a small web image and a large camera photo. Text width is the share of the image width the text spans; the font size follows from that.

The nine positions place one watermark at a corner, an edge centre or the middle. Tiled repeats it in a staggered grid over the whole image, which makes cropping it out much harder. Opacity lets the photo show through.

Images are saved in their original format where the browser can write it (JPEG, PNG and usually WebP); GIF and BMP become PNG, and AVIF becomes PNG if your browser cannot encode AVIF. Animated images keep only their first frame. Re-encoding removes EXIF metadata, and JPEG output uses 92% quality.

This tool adds watermarks. A visible watermark discourages reuse but does not make copying impossible.

Examples

Photographer's portfolio

“© Ana Silva” in white at 25% width, 60% opacity, bottom right with a 3% margin, applied to 10 photos at once and downloaded as a ZIP.

Product photos for a marketplace

A transparent PNG logo tiled at 15% width and 15% opacity across each product image makes it hard to reuse the photos elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions

Does the watermark reduce image quality?

The image keeps its full resolution. JPEG and WebP files are re-encoded at 92% quality, which is visually close to the original; PNG is lossless.

Can I watermark many images with the same settings?

Yes. All selected images get the same watermark, sized relative to each image. The number of images per batch depends on your plan.

Can people remove the watermark?

A watermark in a corner can be cropped or retouched. A tiled watermark is much harder to remove but still not impossible. It is a deterrent, not technical protection.

Why is my GIF now a PNG?

Browsers cannot write GIF or BMP files from a canvas, so those images are saved as PNG. Animated GIFs keep only the first frame.
