How to use it
- Paste HTML or open an .html file.
- Choose the page size, orientation, margins and font size.
- Select Create PDF.
- Download the PDF.
How it works
The HTML is parsed by your browser into an inert document: scripts are not executed and nothing is loaded from the network. The tool then walks the elements and lays out their content with embedded Noto fonts: h1–h6, paragraphs, line breaks, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, code, links (clickable), bulleted and numbered lists, blockquotes, pre blocks, tables (header rows repeat on each page, colspan is respected), horizontal rules, text alignment and simple text colours from style attributes.
This is not a screenshot of a web page. CSS layout such as columns, flexbox, grid, floats, backgrounds, borders and custom fonts is ignored, and forms, videos, iframes and SVG drawings are left out. Images are included only when embedded as data: URIs; images referenced by a web address are not downloaded and their alt text is shown instead.
To print a live website exactly as it looks, use your browser's Print → Save as PDF. Use this tool when you have HTML code or a saved .html file and want a clean, readable document.
Examples
An invoice template
HTML generated by a script for an invoice, with a table of items, becomes a paginated PDF without opening a print dialog.
A saved help page
A saved .html help page with headings and numbered steps is converted to a readable PDF; the site's menus and scripts are skipped.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the PDF look like the web page?
The tool converts the content and its structure, not the CSS design. Colours, columns, backgrounds and web fonts are not reproduced. Use the browser's Print → Save as PDF for a visual copy of a live page.
Why are images missing?
Images from web addresses are never downloaded. Embed them as data: URIs to include them; their alt text is shown otherwise.
Is it safe to convert HTML from an unknown source?
Yes. The HTML is parsed into an inert document that cannot run scripts or load resources, and only its text, structure and embedded images are used.
Can I convert a page by entering its URL?
No. The tool does not fetch web pages. Save the page as an .html file or copy its source code and paste it here.
Privacy
The HTML is parsed and the PDF is created in your browser. The fonts are loaded from this site; the HTML is not uploaded, stored or included in analytics, and no address mentioned in it is contacted. Only an anonymous event that the tool was used is counted.
