How to use it

  1. Log in or create a free account.
  2. Paste your text. It is checked in its own language.
  3. Optionally choose the language for the explanations, for example your native language.
  4. Click “Check text”. Review the list of changes, then copy or download the corrected text.

How it works

The grammar checker sends your text to an AI language model acting as a proofreader. It corrects spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, agreement and clear word-choice errors, but is told not to change your meaning, tone, style, correct wording or line breaks, and not to translate.

The result has two parts: the full corrected text, and a list of individual changes showing the original fragment, its replacement and a short reason. The list makes it easy to learn from your mistakes and to spot a change you do not agree with.

The tool works for any of the site's 31 languages. AI proofreading is very good at typical mistakes but not perfect: it can miss errors or suggest a change that is not needed, especially with names and technical terms.

Fixing a short paragraph

“Their are many reason why I enjoys working from home” becomes “There are many reasons why I enjoy working from home”, with three listed changes: Their → There, reason → reasons, enjoys → enjoy.

Explanations in your language

A Turkish speaker checking an English email can set the explanation language to Turkish: the text stays English, the reasons are written in Turkish.

Frequently asked questions

Will it rewrite my style?

No. It only fixes errors and leaves sentences that are already correct as they are. Use the AI Paraphraser if you want different wording or tone.

Which languages can be checked?

Text in any of the site's 31 languages, including English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese. The text is always corrected in its own language.

Why does the list show fewer changes than I expected?

Some fragments may contain several small fixes in one entry, and a change that would leave the text identical is not listed. Compare with your original if in doubt.

Privacy

Your text is sent to TIG's server and forwarded to a third-party AI model provider to check it. TIG does not store the text or the result; only the number of requests is counted for your daily limit. Do not submit confidential or personal data.
