How to use it

  1. Choose or drop a .pptx presentation.
  2. Select Convert to PDF.
  3. Read the list of anything that could not be converted.
  4. Download the PDF.

How it works

A PPTX file is a zip archive of XML parts. The tool opens it with JSZip and reads each visible slide in order, together with its layout, master and theme. Text boxes and placeholders are placed at their positions with their font sizes, bold, italic, underline, colours, alignment, vertical anchoring, bullets and numbering, autofit scaling and links. Pictures (PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, with cropping), simple tables, rectangle fills and borders, solid or picture backgrounds, and logos or shapes from the master are drawn too. Each slide becomes one PDF page of the slide size, written with pdf-lib.

The text is set in Noto Sans, Noto Sans Mono and their bold and italic styles, which cover Latin, Greek and Cyrillic. The original fonts are not available in the browser, so text can wrap differently than in PowerPoint. Characters outside those scripts (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and others) are drawn as images with your system fonts.

Not supported: charts, SmartArt, WordArt and shape effects (shadows, gradients, 3D), shapes other than rectangles, rotation, video and audio, embedded objects, speaker notes and animations. The tool lists the affected slides. Hidden slides are skipped, as in PowerPoint's own PDF export. Old .ppt files must be saved as .pptx first. How large a file you can convert depends on your plan.

Examples

Sharing a text-heavy deck

A 20-slide training presentation with titles, bullet lists, screenshots and a table converts to a 20-page PDF that keeps the layout of each slide and opens on any device.

A deck with charts

A sales review with two charts converts, and the tool reports that charts on slides 4 and 7 are not drawn. Paste the charts as pictures in PowerPoint, save, and convert again for a complete PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the PDF look slightly different from PowerPoint?

The browser does not have your presentation's fonts, so the tool uses Noto Sans. Different letter widths change where lines break. Effects such as shadows and gradients and non-rectangular shapes are not reproduced.

My charts are missing. What can I do?

Charts and SmartArt are not drawn. In PowerPoint, copy the chart and paste it as a picture (Paste Special, PNG), then convert again. Pictures are always included.

Can I convert .ppt files?

No, only the modern .pptx format. Open the .ppt file in PowerPoint, Keynote, LibreOffice Impress or Google Slides and save or download it as .pptx.

Are speaker notes and animations included?

No. The PDF contains one page per visible slide in its final state, without notes, animations or transitions.
