How to use it
- Choose or drop the PDF you want to sign.
- Draw your signature, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a picture of your signature, then select Use this signature.
- Pick the page, click where the signature goes, drag it into place and set its width.
- Select Sign PDF and download the signed copy.
How it works
The signature is turned into a PNG image with a transparent background, trimmed to the drawn area, and placed on the chosen page with pdf-lib. The rest of the document is unchanged and text stays selectable. On pages stored with a rotation the signature is placed upright where you see it in the preview.
This is a visual (simple electronic) signature, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. It is not a digital signature based on a certificate: it does not identify you cryptographically, and it does not lock the document against later changes. For contracts or official forms that require an advanced or qualified electronic signature, use a certified signing service.
Typed signatures use handwriting fonts installed on your device, so the result looks different on different systems; drawing or uploading gives a consistent result. When you upload a photo of a signature, pale pixels can be made transparent so the paper colour does not cover the document.
The tool places one signature per run. To sign several pages, download the result and sign it again. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs cannot be signed.
Examples
Signing a rental agreement on a phone
Draw the signature with your finger, pick the last page, tap the signature line and reduce the width to about 25% so it fits the line.
Re-using a scanned signature
Upload a JPEG photo of your signature on white paper with “Make white background transparent” on, so only the ink appears on the form.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally valid signature?
Many everyday agreements accept a simple electronic signature like this one, but the rules depend on the country and the document. Some documents require an advanced or qualified electronic signature, which this tool does not provide.
Can I sign more than one page?
Yes, one page at a time. Download the signed PDF, choose it again and add the signature to the next page.
Is my signature saved anywhere?
No. The signature image exists only in this browser tab and is gone when you close or reload the page.
Why does my typed signature look different on another device?
The handwriting styles use fonts installed on your device. Different systems have different fonts, so draw or upload your signature if you need the same look everywhere.
Privacy
The PDF and your signature are processed only in your browser. Neither is uploaded, stored or included in analytics; only an anonymous event that the tool was used is counted.
