How to use it
- Choose, drop or paste your badge artwork, ideally a square PNG with a transparent background.
- Choose Fit or Fill and trim transparent borders so the badge uses the whole square.
- Check the 18 px preview: that is the size shown next to names in chat.
- Download each PNG or all as a ZIP and upload them under Subscriptions or Bits badges in your Creator Dashboard.
How it works
Twitch subscriber and Bits badges appear at 18 px next to usernames in chat, with 36 and 72 px versions for sharper screens. This tool resizes your image into each square in your browser with high-quality downscaling and saves transparent PNGs.
Each file's size is shown and compared with the 25 KB per-file limit from Twitch's guidelines at the time of writing; a warning appears if a file is over. Badges this small rarely come close to it. Platform rules can change, so follow the upload form if it differs.
Only still PNGs are produced. This tool is not affiliated with Twitch.
Examples
Tiered sub badges
Resize your 1-month, 3-month and 6-month artwork one after another; each gives a ZIP with 72, 36 and 18 px files.
Bits badge
A 500×500 gem icon with Trim on, giving three PNGs whose file sizes are shown next to the 25 KB limit.
Frequently asked questions
What size are Twitch sub badges?
72×72, 36×36 and 18×18 px PNG files, each up to 25 KB according to Twitch's guidelines at the time of writing.
Why does my badge look like a blob at 18 px?
18 px is very small. Use one simple shape with strong contrast and a clear outline, and avoid text.
What if a file is over the limit?
The tool warns you. Reduce detail, noise or gradients in the artwork; flat colours compress much better in PNG.
