How to use it
- Choose or drop an .xlsx or .csv file.
- Tick the sheets you want in the PDF.
- Choose page size, orientation and how columns should fit, and whether the first row is a header.
- Select Convert to PDF and download the file.
How it works
Workbooks are read with the open-source exceljs library; CSV files are parsed with the site's CSV parser, which detects commas, semicolons, tabs and pipes. Each selected sheet becomes a table on new pages. Empty rows at the end and empty columns on the right are removed, and hidden rows and columns are left out.
Numbers are shown with their Excel number format for the common cases: decimals, thousands separators, percentages, currency symbols and dates (as year-month-day). Formulas are not recalculated; the result saved in the file is shown, so save the workbook in Excel after editing to update it. Bold, italic, text colour, solid fills, horizontal alignment and cells merged across a row are kept.
With Shrink text, the font gets smaller until every column fits the page width, down to 5 pt; beyond that, long cells wrap. Very wide sheets are easier to read in landscape. Long tables continue on the next page with the header row repeated, and every page is numbered. Charts, pictures, borders, conditional formats and Excel's print settings are not converted. How large a file you can convert depends on your plan.
Examples
Monthly expense report
A sheet with 8 columns and 300 rows becomes a 7-page landscape A4 PDF where the column headings are repeated at the top of every page and totals keep their #,##0.00 format.
CSV export from a shop system
An orders.csv file separated by semicolons is detected automatically and turned into a printable PDF table with gridlines, ready to file or send.
Frequently asked questions
The text in my PDF is very small. Why?
With Shrink text, all columns are made to fit the page width. A sheet with many columns therefore gets small text. Switch to landscape, deselect columns you do not need in Excel, or choose Keep text size and wrap long cells.
Why does a formula show an old value?
The tool does not calculate formulas; it shows the result Excel saved in the file. Open the workbook in Excel, let it recalculate, save, and convert again.
Can I convert .xls or .ods files?
No. Save them as .xlsx in Excel, LibreOffice Calc or Google Sheets first. CSV files are supported.
Are charts and pictures included?
No, only cell contents and basic cell formatting. To include a chart, copy it into a document as a picture or use Excel's own PDF export.
Privacy
The spreadsheet is read and the PDF is created with JavaScript in your browser. Only the font files are loaded from this site. Your file is not uploaded or stored, and its contents are not included in analytics; only an anonymous event that the tool was used is counted.
